ACTIVIDADES RECOMENDADAS PARA LENGUA

Algunas actividades diarias sencillas que debe tomar como costumbre ya para siempre son:

* Lectura. Puede alternar la lectura ociosa por el placer de leer con una lectura más académica

- anotando en su libreta palabras para buscar en el diccionario. Después, escribir oraciones en las que practique su uso.

- anotando palabras de dificultad ortográfica para copiarlas en la libreta entre 5 y 10 veces. Después escribir oraciones en las que practique su uso.

- clasificando palabras según su categoría gramatical: sustantivo, adjetivo, verbo, artículo, demostrativo, etc. Para después hacer su análisis completo.

* Escritura. Cada día debe hacer un poco de producción escrita, entre media cara y una cara de folio. Los tipos de textos que debe practicar son principalmente:

- narrativos: cuentos, fábulas...

- descriptivos: descripción de lugares, objetos, plantas, animales, personas...

- poéticos: poesías, canciones, trabalenguas...

- expositivos: en los que explique una temática determinada, principalmente relacionada con las áreas de Ciencias de la Naturaleza y Ciencias Sociales, como por ejemplo, la energía. Debe seguir la estructura definición, tipos y ejemplos (y también partes o fases cuando sea aplicable, como por ejemplo en las plantas o en la metamorfosis).

- argumentativos: donde explique un punto de vista determinado dando argumentos o razones que lo respalden (Como por ejemplo la necesidad de seguir la regla de las tres erres: reducir, reutilizar y reciclar).

Otras actividades: pequeños dictados, copiados, redacción de un diario personal en un cuaderno pequeño aparte, preparar una lista de preguntas sobre un texto leído como si fuesen para que las respondiera otra persona, y responderlas otro día tras volver a leer el texto...

Además, siempre con supervisión de un adulto, puede utilizar actividades interactivas de Internet que, después de estos dos años, por sí misma serán capaces de encontrar para trabajar las distintas lecciones de Lengua Castellana: sinónimos, antónimos, prefijos, sufijos, palabras derivadas, primitivas, polisémicas, homónimas, parónimas, homófonas, familias de palabras, campos léxicos, todas las categorías gramaticales o clases de palabras y su análisis, conjugación de verbos...

Estos recursos de Internet, se encuentran buscando en Google el nombre de la lección (por ejemplo, palabras homófonas) + la extensión:

swf para juegos interactivos

ppt o pps para presentaciones de PowerPoint.

Los vídeos educativos los encontrará buscando el nombre de la lección en YouTube o en Google vídeos.

También hay resultados útiles en Google imágenes, como son resúmenes, esquemas, mapas conceptuales...

RECOMENDACIONES VERANO 2018

Estimadas familias,

Aprovecho, en primer lugar, para desearos muy feliz verano.

Durante este tiempo de vacaciones, el alumnado de 5º debe descansar y disfrutar. Pero también hay tiempo para hacer actividades, eligiendo de las siguientes las que más se amolden a sus necesidades:

· Cuadernillos de actividades del curso: actividades que no hayan terminado por cualquier motivo pueden acabarlas durante estos días.

· Lectura diaria (incluyendo sus libros favoritos, comics, publicaciones de su interés, etc. preferiblemente tomados en préstamo de cualquier biblioteca de la red pública (www.redbibliotecas.carm.es)

· Pueden también tomar en prestamo audiolibros (libro + CD) adecuados a su nivel de comprensión lectora (varía mucho de unos casos a otros), pero generalmente es mejor comenzar por los “starter, beginner, elementary, level 0” y subir la dificultad a demanda.

· PUEDEN ENTRAR A LOS BLOGS: teacherantonio.blogspot.com

· VER TV, DVDs, BLU-RAYs… EN INGLÉS

· Escuchar música (de género y temática adecuada) con la letra en la mano para seguirla, primero en silencio y luego cantando. El resultado es similar a buscar la canción por su título en YouTube y añadir la palabra lyrics, o la palabra karaoke.

· JUEGOS EDUCATIVOS INTERACTIVOS DE INTERNET: buscando en GOOGLE una temática concreta junto con las letras swf, encontramos muchos juegos educativos (siempre bajo supervisión de adultos).

o Por ejemplo: flower parts swf -o- partes de la flor swf

· APPS PARA MÓVIL Y TABLET:

o INTELLIJOY, FUN4KIDS, TEACHERSPARADISE.COM, DUOLINGO... (también bajo supervisión de adultos)

· Libros de vacaciones. Los hay de numerosas editoriales y variedades. De tener que recomendar alguno, serían los de las editoriales que han trabajado.

TECHNOLOGY

Ancient inventions: wheel, abacus, horse-drawn cart, plough, gears...

Previous to electricity inventions: printing press, steam engine, typewriter...

Age of electricity's inventions: light bulb, telephone, plane...

Age of electronics, robotics, and ICT's newest inventions: the latest 21st-century gadgets, complex electronic inventions, microchips, robots, computers...

Classification of machines by the energy source they need to work.

Machines can make life easier for us, but they need energy to work.

Bicycles, baby strollers and wind-up alarm clock need energy from people.

DVD players, TV players, washing machines, dishwashers, toasters, etc. need electricity supply. We use a plug and socket to connect.

Cars and motorbikes need fuels (petrol, diesel...) or powerful batteries.

TV remote controls need little batteries.

Old mills need wind (moving air) or moving water (water wheels).

Classification of machines by their function.

- Mechanical machines: with a motor (from electricity) or engine (from fuel) they produce movement (kinetic energy). E.g.: cars, motorcycles, electric toothbrushes, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, dishwashers, electric toothbrushes...

- Thermal machines: they make things hot or cold. E.g.: air-conditioners, heaters, radiators, hair dryers, refrigerators, freezers, electric ovens...

- Information-processing machines: they are used to communicate and to make calculations. E.g.: computers, tablets, mobile phones, digital cameras, calculators...

Classification of machines by their complexity (book: Many machines in one)

A machine is something that helps us do work with less effort. There are two kinds of machines:

Simple machines have few or no moving parts. We put simple machines together to make complex machines.

Complex machines use two or more simple machines. Many complex machines at home need electricity to work.

SIMPLE MACHINES

Simple machines have few or no moving parts. They reduce the amount of force we need to apply to complete a task. These are the different types of simple machines:

A wedge has one or more slanting surface. When we push down on the flat part of the wedge, we can cut things or push things apart more easily.

An inclined plane is made up of a flat, slanting surface. It is easier to push an object up an inclined plane than to lift it vertically.

A pulley has a rope and a wheel and axle. When we pull down on the rope, we lift the object that is attached to it. Pulling the rope is easier than lifting an object using our body. E.g.: car brakes, lifts (elevators), bicycle gears...

A wheel and axle has a wheel or wheels which revolve around an axle. We use a wheel and axle to move things across the ground more easily. E.g.: land transport: trains, cars, motorbikes, lorries, vans, ...

A screw is an inclined plane that goes around a cylinder or cone. We use screws to hold things together or lift objects. Turning a screw is easier than pushing the screw directly. E.g.: They are all around: electrical appliances, transport, computers, bikes, but also simple objects like jars.

A lever is a rigid bar which is placed on a support called a fulcrum. Levers can be classified by the position of the three key elements: the fulcrum (F), the load (L) and the place where the effort or force takes place (E). It's easier to lift an object when we use a lever and fulcrum. E.g.: a car's gearstick, a bicycle's pedals and brake levers, a stapler...

NOTE: Advanced machines are made up of many simple and complex machines. Sometimes they have parts like gears, engines and motors, etc.

- Gears: they are wheels with teeth that fit together. When one wheel turns the other one turns too, but in the opposite direction. E.g. cars, motorbikes, bicycles, windmills, clocks and watches, toys with motors.

- Engines and motors: it is the part of the machine which produces movement. An engine needs fuel to work, whereas a motor runs on electricity.

TECHNOLOGY INFLUENCES OUR LIVES

SAFER AND MORE COMFORTABLE HOMES:

- Smart phones: to write texts, watch films, listen to music, find information on the Internet, send emails, read newspapers and books, do the shopping, take photos and make videos... They are small PCs (personal computers).

- Domestic chores with machines: dishwashers, washing machines, microwave ovens, food processors, vacuum cleaners...

- Food storage: freezers, refrigerators...

- Heating and air-conditioning appliances to control the temperature.

- Energy-saving light bulbs.

- Sanitation: drinking water, WC toilets, sinks, bath tubs...

- Communication: e- mails, video-conference, text messages, telephones...

- Electricity and Internet connectivity for many of the appliances listed above.

INDUSTRIAL CHANGES (FACTORIES):

- Companies are developing environmentally friendly machines and materials.

- Governments can also create laws to control industry.

- Awareness of air and water pollution, soil and radioactive contamination.

- Biodegradable products.

EDUCATION

- Computers with Internet connectivity, interactive whiteboards, tablets, e-books...

TRANSPORT

- Travel time has been reduced (faster transportation).

- Vehicles are safer.

- Use of alternative energy sources such as eco-fuel, bio-diesel or solar energy.

FREE TIME

- Spectacular special effects on films.

- Computer-generated cartoons.

- Films in 3D (three dimensions).

- Museums with interactive activities.

HEALTH (technology in hospitals)

* X-rays, CT scans and ultrasound devices to detect diseases (diagnosis).

* Devices to measure the level of glucose in blood (blood and urine tests).

* Devices that measure blood pressure.

Keep safe!

- Machines help us but they can become dangerous.

- We must use them responsibly, with caution.

- Scissors and knives must be carried away from the body, with the sharp parts pointing down.

- Never run with a tool in your hand.

- We need to wear appropriate clothing: make sure your clothes can’t get caught up in the moving parts. (before riding a bike: check your shoelaces, don't wear a scarf, and the brakes, gears and lights working properly). Roll up long sleeves and tie long hair back too.

- Wear safety goggles when there is the possibility that something could enter your eyes as you are working.

- Be especially careful when using electrical appliances (electric shock, which can cause burns to your body, or even stop your heart).

* Don’t touch power points. Never use a knife to remove a slice of bread from the toaster.

* Never touch electrical appliances or cables near a bathtub or swimming pool or if you are wet (hairdryers). Water is a electrical conductor.

* Don’t plug too many appliances into one power point.

System overload can cause a fire.

* Use power boards not double adaptors.

* Unplug appliances by pulling on the plug (NOT the cord).

* Tell your parents if the plastic protection around a cable is damaged.

* Watch out for danger signs: stay away and tell an adult!

TELÉFONO INMERSIÓN LINGÜÍSTICA

Buenos tardes. El teléfono móvil que apuntamos en la agenda ha dado problemas y NO está operativo. El nuevo número de teléfono es el que ha publicado Isabel hoy: 696052418. Recordad que el horario en el que pueden llamar es de 19 a 20h. Un saludo.

REUNIÓN TRIMESTRAL DEL PASADO 7 DE FEBRERO

Como sabréis, por desgracia no pude asistir a la reunión por encontrarme enfermo.

El guión de la misma:

1) COMUNICACIONES GENERALES DE CENTRO:

- Buen uso de grupos de Whatsapp, etc.

- Cuando un alumno llegue tarde debe pasar primero por el despacho antes de ir a clase.

- No se pueden quedar en el patio a las 14h.

- Algunos datos sobre "Educando en justicia" y la mediación (más info en el blog)

- Uso de los nuevos puntos de reciclaje colocados en el centro.

- Semáforos-ruidómetro que estamos utilizando en el cole, dentro del Plan de Salud (este año estamos trabajando el silencio).

2) INMERSIÓN LINGUÍSTICA: 2, 3 Y 4 DE MAYO

- Talonarios de papeletas que repartiremos en el cole (1 talonario de 100 papeletas por alumno)

- Las habitaciones serán de 2 personas, salvo alguna habitación triple, excepcionalmente.

3) PRÁCTICAS UNIVERSIDAD:

- 8 al 30 de enero: estuvo con nosotros Sandra.

- 1 de febrero al 23 de marzo: está con nosotros Miguel Ángel.

4) CARNAVAL. VIERNES 16 FEBRERO DE 12 A 14H

- Deben traer disfraces sencillos que se puedan poner en la clase sin necesidad de ir al aseo a vestirse.

5) FECHAS IMPORTANTES:

Martes 6 de marzo. Taller de reciclaje.

Jueves 8 de marzo. Talleres de Namaná (Agua de Coco), de sensibilización con zonas desfavorecidas del planeta (Madagascar).

Lunes 5 o martes 6 de marzo. Conciertos escolares.

Martes 13 o miércoles 14 de marzo. Talleres coreográficos (danzas). Teatro circo.

Del 13 al 16 de marzo algunos profesores se desplazarán a Alemania para trabajar dentro del proyecto Erasmus plus que está desarrollando el centro (las sesiones correspondientes serán previstas por el profesorado en cuestión y llevadas a la práctica con normalidad)

6) HÁBITOS DE ESTUDIO:

En general ambas clases necesitan esforzarse un poco más en cuanto al estudio.

7) EN LAS ÁREAS EN INGLÉS: verán que ocasionalmente pueden acudir a casa con la agenda con algún sello de tinta (formas distintas: estrellas, notas musicales, etc) firmado por el profesor. El objetivo es motivar al alumnado y reconocer de una marera más especialmente una buena actitud en esa jornada escolar.

8) USO DE GOOGLE CLASSROOM:

Pese a tratarse de una red social, recordamos que su uso es exclusivamente educativo y didáctico, por lo que comentarios, publicaciones, etc. de otro tipo no son los correctos, ya que no se trata de un chat, foro, mensajería personal, etc.
